Matchmaking

Jump to content. There has been a lot of talk and some nice stats analysis too about the effects of the new matchmaking introduced in update 5. So I tried myself and played with a new account for a few days. The results are simply astounding. The battles differ like night and day. On the new new account I am facing only noobs and some bots in low tiers.

Easy wins, and my tanks are easily aced. While trying to create a safer environment for noobs, WG has created a true sealclubbers' paradise! Just start with a new account, and you will not face any veteran players, only noobs. At the same time veteran players have only each other to play against, and low tiers are as hard as tier Aces are now reserved only for rerolling sealclubbers. Totally different experience depending on your battlecount. I have never been a sealclubber, but with my main motivation for playing this game, acing tanks, taken away, I just might do what WG recommends: A Finnish proverb that literally means "From a ditch to puddle" i.

Update 6. Just why, WG? The funny part is that idiots will remain idiots and none-kind of babysitting will change this. Previously you could have one with this WR low count but he was on learning curve, having positive input for the team. Recently i moved to some low tiers tanks which i want to master and sell for gold to get free xp once 5. Now try to master the useless A32 with this enviornment, iImpossible. They fixed nothing, it is even more broken then it was. Isolate mental and let them think this is the real world Fuc king, mental WG.

It's like a two tier game in a way. Easier for less experienced players and harder or more experienced players. To be fair to WG, I think the splitting of the queues is a good thing but they need to find a way to stop re-rolls, as I don't have a problem with making the game harder for experienced players, even rubbish ones like me, but as it is it's just made it even better for seal clubbers which is just daft The only way I can see for doing that is make the game paid for at start say 1.

He who stops being better stops being good. Oliver Cromwell I was soundly beaten, and i am the better for it. I keep getting beaten but getting better so its all good man. Major Eazy. I have too many thoughts. The first thing is the hope that playing tier 3 with only 3 maps and 5 tanks will get boring to most people. It was maybe the only choice left, to have a chance to see them grow before they are bashed by angry both unis and noobs are angry. The one thing for sure is that the game is different for ever.

I remember how tier3 was so much fun years ago. Yeeeaaaarrrzz ago. I remember how we could discuss about how to progress, discover new rules, new situations to pay attention to. The game has become old and repetitive. Look how people liked the mad games. Like when they made destructible objects go-through. Like when they removed friendly fire. To make unicums learn something again, rather than have them just lose their stats slowly in a more harsh environment. Read my guides there. The only thing they should remove is statistics.

One of the side effects: Jukkis74, on 05 November - It gave me the impression that they didn't have a clue what to do. Keeping small children in steril environment won't develope their immune system. They are going to get sick first time they visit real world. This is not the way to fix the problem of new players being sealclubbed. The good players will enter with amazing stats, the noobs will with thinking that they can play but they don't.

Low tiers are currently broken as a result of this. Only OP tanks but the mastery levels are set by those playing with bots. This is ridiculous. There will bo no 5 tanks in lower tiers. There will be much more. Cheap premium tanks, a hell of them soon or later. Money grab is the only reason for this change. This is the target. Not it is not. We are predators, the most brutal ones i think. There are is no world war, no need to hunt as you can buy all in the shop.

Sealclubbing is the part of human's nature, in virtual world quite easy without consequences. My team stats in real time: If you dont have it after that long you arent going to get it. But it doesnt matter that much as they seem to be happy enough. I mean if they were unhappy why would they play games? The whole issue with off of this is that any fix that WG tries will only make the matchmaking more complicated. While it is hard for new players to start into that environment that is the life cycle of games.

The best that you can do is incentivise your veterans to not play lower tiers but there will always be those that do, and give incentives for new players to learn. Give them rewards for making certain skill based milestones. Beyond that the best thing they can do is shake up the meta to keep everyone beginners again. But even that only does so much.

Veteran players will learn the new meta faster. Funny enough one thing that could be done that would get rid of at least a portion of seal clubbers would be to make low tiers stat free. It wouldnt cure it but some would give it up if there was no shiny purple marker to show off. Denii, on 05 November - Just not true. Hardly any bragging here. But a lot of paranoia about bragging sealclubbers. Most good players in low tiers probably just want to have fun with easy games and easy wins.

What's wrong with that? Banning them would be as stupid as banning pro poker players from ever playing low-stakes games. WG's stated concern about noobs is revealed as a lie by the fact that they keep selling high tier premiums to new players. I got an offer to buy the IS-6 13 euros already on my second day with the new account! Why on earth would they want to push total noobs into high tiers if they really cared about their new players??

This is just pure short-term greed and only makes them appear desperate and stupid. Update 5. After the removal of spare parts which was great WG is again turning in the wrong direction. Not going to play much on my old account. Instead will be sealclubbing on my new account, though not much motivation to do that either. And definitely no more money to WG until MM is fixed and back to fully random.

RynnivaTykki, on 05 November - You got that right. WG only care about their pockets so the thought pattern was to fix some issues with the income and make them look like they are doing the community a favor. So the problem was how to make some more money without doing much in return. Well, let's take away some free tech tree tanks and offer them for gold from now on. We'll make up the excuse it's not to confuse noobs.

Now when you mean it is rigged, do you mean that the MM . someone come here with actual data before complaining about matchmaking, my. The main method in World Of Tanks for game rigging is predetermining the Teams in WOT are created by games matchmaker (MM) that in actuality rigs the.

Each match was rated strictly by score, personal opinion was NOT taken into consideration. The numbers are identical between either set of 50 matches, hence, adding 50, , , or battles more to the data would result in the same statistics.

The composition of tanks in each team is a task of matchmaker. It works in following manner.

So, reading that patent link, it seems that this win rate based MM thing is just taken out of context. It is just one of various possible ways of doing the matchmaking and described as such.

World of Warships random matchmaking is rigged (but it doesn’t matter)

Is rigging matchmaking against the game rules or not? A few of my clanmembers have reported several cases of divisions of 1 clan which will not be named to avoid shaming ending up in the same team. Would be interesting to hear the official stance regarding this. Personally I don't care and counting in is fun at times, though can't remember when did do it last time. Especially when it fails and you end up sinking your friends. Lately I have seen fairly much failed attempts of counting in. This has been asked and answered countless times. WG's stance on it is that it is fine, they think teamwork in a team game is ok, as long as all play fair and do not try to "throw" the game in favour of clan mates on the opposing team. Ah so it was.

I think that's obvious to everyone who play this game.

Why is it not a problem? Because random battles are a grind for XP, credits and practice. This was the dealbreaker in World of Tanks: So I keep playing and actually like the game.

Undeniable proof that matchmaking is rigged.

5.3 Rigged Matchmaking - Experiment

I'm posting to encourage all WoT players, especially premium account holders, to boycott buying gold in World of Tanks. For those unaware, it helps bad players win and forces long losing streaks on good players. The point of this is to either encourage or frustrate you to spend as much money as possible. It's a con game. A fraud. It is true that really excellent players can beat the system.

Is match making rigged? Here is something to illustrate that it is.

They cheat good players out of their right to a fair play. The better players are being squeezed more often at the bottom of retarded teams. That denies the very purpose of trying to play well. Why do it if that, instead of reward brings only punishment? Now, maybe my logic is entirely flawed, but a system with no non-random matchmaker should see a normal distribution pattern occurring in precisely such a fashion. Each super-awesome player is on average weighed down by 14 average players, then add a dose of RNG from the game mechanics themselves and this super-awesome player will be hard pressed to achieve win ratio drastically above the norm. It seems a bit fickle that people are picking up on one aspect of a potential matchmaker listed in a broadly covering patent, then making the leap to treating it as the system when there is nothing more than dubious anecdotal evidence in favour.

Jump to content. I strongly believe that there is a differentiated MM, based on the vehicle you drive. It cannot be othewise. Let me explain:. I have over average dmg per battle in it. My statement is:

The main method in World Of Tanks for game rigging is predetermining the winner and the loser by using unbalanced teams. If the teams are very unequal by skill or by composition tier spread, tanks upgrade state then predicting the winner becomes very easy. How would you do in a m sprint or in a heavyweight boxing match or in a game of chess at Olympic level? Kind of puts a smile in your face, right? Unequal teams in World Of Tanks is current reality Armored Warfare on the other hand is supposed to have balanced matches by design. Teams in WOT are created by games matchmaker MM that in actuality rigs the games so that the playing of a game becomes pure formality the teams are so unbalanced that the game usually cannot be turned around even by some heroic playing and the stronger team wins easily. Random selection process would explain unequal teams very well and as such cannot be called rigging.
